has anyone ever played these games!? they are so fuckin awesome LMAO. i have a Wii and have always thought it was the worst system, besides xbox of course lol but the Wii is only good for the Mario games IMO well i wanna play Golden Eye and the Donkey Kong Country. but back on topic, these games are dope. i'm trying to get all the stars in galaxy but i'm having a hell of a time on the "Luigi's purple coins" in the toy galaxy it is some bullshit! but what do you guys think?

I've always loved the Mario games. I've got every Core Mario game ever released for every system released. In fact, Nintendo has gone so far away from it's core audience that when i buy whatever new nintendo system they're promoting, it's so I can play the Mario titles. In all I own

I also have my wii and original xbox modded to play emulators so I have the mario games on there, and I have an emulator for my Dreamcast allowing me to play all the mario games on it as well.

Mario galaxy 1 & 2 are 2 of the top 5 games ever made. Period

I have all 242 stars in both games

Mario galaxy 1 = 120 stars with Mario and 120 with Luigi plus 1 bonus star with each.

Mario Galaxy 2 = 120 gold stars + 120 green stars + grandmaster galaxy final 2

When someone asks me if I like video games, Mario games flash through my head. I haven't kept up with all the new ones since I don't own modern Nintendo consoles, but I'm sure they're just as great. Newest Mario game I played was Sunshine on the cube.

That one was a real let down. Both galaxies are amazing. Both are better than Mario 64 and that's saying something

I love Mario games. They've mostly been apart of my entire life. They really outdid themselves with the Galaxy games. I love how they use gravity in diff ways on levels. I was thinking of playing Sunshine on the Dolphin emulator. I still play the NES, SNES & N64 games on my PC.

But yeah, the Galaxy games were great. The 1st Galaxy is the only Mario game I bothered to beat 100% because it was that fun. I haven't had any time to play Galaxy 2, but the last half of the game was alot better than the first half.

WHAT!?!?! you got all of the stars?!?!?!! holy shit! i have i believe 106 or 107 on Galaxy 1, i've never played 2, i'm going to get it when i get a job i cant wait! but man that one where you ride that floating elevator thing to get all the purple coins and if you miss one there is no second chance is bullshit, the luigi purple coins is bullshit, and the time limit of purple coins on boo's bone yard is bull too although i've only tried it once though. i'm sure there are going to be some other stars i can't get. i want to get all of them so i can be Luigi! are you saying there are actually stars you can get when you get to be Luigi? like it's another game in the same game?

i think that Resident Evil 5 and God Of War 3 were also some of the best games i've ever played in my life as well. but Mario and Sonic are always great although the new Sonic's suck, but this new Sonic generations looks cool.

funny you mention luigi's purple coins and the elevator purple coins one. the good news is those 2 are by far the hardest ones in galaxy 1. the elevator one try to stay in the middle of the elevator and memorize where each coin is. the luigi's purple coins you just gotta keep trying. i like to get the ones on the right side where you long jump first as there is a good 25-35 coins right there. not to scare you or nothing but in galaxy 2 there is a level that is identical to luigi's purple coins but you got the mario clones chasing you down lol. boo's bone yard wasnt too bad, and if you can get luigis purple and the elevator you will easily get the rest of the stars...yea luigi is the same 120 stars again. he jumps higher but has less traction so its a little more difficult on some and little easier on others.

those 2 stars do suck. i think the only stars i need are some of the comet stars and 1 pink star thing. it's good to know those are the hardest but at the same time it just sucks i need them lol. i can't wait to play as luigi i figured you would just run around and play the mario level i didn't know it started over for you basically that is awesome. really sucks to hear about that mario galaxy 2 level! do you get to ride yoshi in that game? i can't believe there is no yoshi in this one! i hate the cosmic race stars too.

oh there was another level in the galaxy one that sucked too. you had to pull yourself with those gravity stars and you are pulling through all these cannons shooting at you, i believe this is one of the last hidden levels. then you pull to a transporter star, except there is no gravity star on the other side of the transporter star and it's like how the fuck do i get to it?? it took me forever of going back and forth until i hit that damn thing, it was twice in the level too. pissed me off. * * & the & is the transporter star it should be * * & * but it wasn't. do you recall that?

in super mario bros i did get all the coins and hidden stuff unlocked on it and was disappointed because there was no reward, no nothin except "you've got all the power coins in all levels"....yeah well no shit. hahaha. i had help from a friend of course but that gay was awesome too. got them both cheap on ebay.

i've never played mario rpg or the zelda games.
