Popular Google Easter Egg makes its way to mobile devices.
Remember when you first typed "Do a Barrel Roll” or “Z or R twice” into Google? It still kind of warms your heart, right?
There were two main reasons I loved Google's little Easter Egg:
Game culture is not the niche it once was, but we rarely see it infiltrate actual culture on a site as large as Google in such simple, playful ways.
The undeniable fact is that somewhere, some pretentious wine club mother was spun 360 degrees looking for an avant garde fermenting process.
Well now the Easter Egg is coming to Android 4.1 through the power of Google Now. All you have to do is speak the words, ostensibly making you Peppy. Which would make your phone Fox McCloud, whose enemy is Andross, which sounds pretty close to Android. Pretty damn close.
