    My Ps3.... is dying....

    Man, last night i wanted to play MW2 with my mate, so i hooked up my PS3 on the telly, starting that shit up.... but now all of a sudden it did not read the Blu Ray/dvd so i inserted another game like GTA4, same shit nothing there. The Blu Ray would not be displayed in the XMB menu. So i started playing some random downloaded shit for about 1 hour or longer..... Then my mate quit playing MW2 because he wanted to go to sleep. So i shut this "Flow" game down and all of a sudden i see MW2 listed in my list.

    Now today, i hook my PS3 up back home... same problem... it wont show the dvd thats in the ps. So i start up "Flow" once again, I dont even have to make the menu, just start this game up, go back to the XMB and my game (MW2) is showing once again.....

    Im concidering buying a new PS3 and then with 120 GIG or 250 Gig because now i have a shitty ass 40 gig hd in there and that is wack

      Damn Smoka thats sad to hear. Well is your ps3 insured? You could always ring sony and ask them. I remember once my psp didnt work at all. So i rang sony, explained there was a tehcnical fault and they kindly gave me a new one. So you have options..

        That sucks man, i dont know what to tell you because im not into the ps3 shit, but is it still under warrenty? maybe its a defect or something? im sure you can take it in and check but that sucks man.

                ^ Yep. Just told them what was wrong with it on the phone. They came round, game me a new one and they took the old one back

                            It seems like the lasers are malfunctioning. You should call up Sony and investigate how much it costs to fix; it might be cheaper than just buying a new one. Which PS3 do you have? I'm assuming it's one of the 1st generation models.
