in part 1 u start off as a cab driver, moving your way 2 the top working for don salieri. u end off being shot as an old man, so i doubt part 1 and 2 will be connected, cos mafia 2 is based on 1940's mobsters.

Mafia II demo planned for PC, PS3 and 360

Take-Two CEO Ben Feder has said that when Mafia II releases on August 24 it will redefine the genre, by totally replicating the 1940’s and 50’s in realistic style and will be playable in full at E3 next week.

The firm also confirmed during the call the investors tonight that a demo for the game will be released in August on PC, PS3 and 360 as part of a massive advertising campaign.
