Problems, Problems & Problems but No Solution

I have a Ps3 as you all (not all) know, and i'm using it with a wireless router - Netgear WGR614v7 and a Huawei MT8--- (cant remember) modem.
It takes the piss signing in, i mean you can eat, drink and shit in that time that it signs me in which is about 10-15 mins Why? i dunno. Then i lag when i play Mw2, get kicked not able to find a host.

HELP ME Plz what can I do???

That's weird, my router is all the way 3 floors up, PS3 in the basement and connection takes like 30 seconds. I would suggest restarting the whole connection, re-wire it up, re-boot the modem to set up the IP and than see what happens.

my router is in the basement n ps3 is in my room its dodgy tho but 2day i used a different dns server and its working lol

Your adapter seems to be 802.11g. The problem may lie in the way your router is set up. I fnd that some adapters don't play well with with mixed standard environments, (ie: b,g,n). What you can do to try and remedy the problem is setting your router's wireless standard to "g" only. See if that helps.

yh wired is the only solution but its kind of hard to do it, the basement is in the factory above is our house (india style) thats where all the pc shit is modem routers, i tried setting the channels too im using 11 as always dunno if anyone else has wifi along our side of the street that could be the problem too right??
