The Garnet Red version of the new super slim PS3, recently announced for Japan and Europe, is heading to North America as well, as the centerpiece of a God of War: Ascension bundle.
Along with the red 500GB PS3 (chosen as a nod to Kratos' tattoo, though "monster blood" could also be evoked), the $349 bundle comes with a copy of Ascension, as well as the God of War Saga collection, which includes every other God of War game. 30 days of PlayStation Plus are also thrown in.
The package comes out March 12, concurrent with Ascension. It seems like a great deal if you don't have a PS3 and have been eager to try devote your life to God of War.
