Gaming consoles were always around this price. The ps2 was 1150 gulden (600 euro).

I think 400 and 500 for a brand bew console is cheap. U pay way more for a pc. ppl pay 700 for an iphone or ipad, so 400-500 is not that expensive.

Price is allright for a new console. Every new playstation was fucking expensive..and imo its a huuge step that the ps4 will do. Bigger then ps2>ps3

Exactly, the problem is that people are like a bunch of sheep accepting everything without even complaining. For example here in the Netherlands people are mandatory to have health insurance. The health insurance thing has been privatized some years ago to "non-profit" organizations. The "purpose" of this was to create a free-market with competition so the prices would go down and the insurances would become cheaper. But over the years I think every year there has been an increase in the prices and the policies have become worse - while it has been proved that these NON-PROFIT organizations have made a lot of more profit over the last years. And neither the government or the people do shit about it. And the media tell me about no democracy, corruption, dictatorships, terrorism in other countries while the devil and the root of all evil are the first world countries

In addition to be region-free, we've now learned that that the system's 500GB hard drive can be removed and upgraded. Man it is not over priced ps3 were 600 USD when they came out, so sony did best this generation.

Just have no interest in console gaming though, only wish was that pc got the sony exclusives lolol

Paying for the Internet play is bullshit. Fuck them and their $5! Gov is right, these companies make a lot of money. That's what you do. French fries at McDonald's cost what like $4? And it probably cost them 10¢ to make or some shit. Same with subway sandwiches. This is no different than Sony and Microsoft. They get low prices and then maximize their profit with the sale price. Fucked up but it's how it goes.

I'm glad that it will play used games. That's 100% legit. Glad they didn't go that stupid route of only the original system can play the game.

Will ps4 be backwards compatible? For ps3 games at least? I know they mentioned having games available for dl but what about ps3 disc?

Are you able to merged your psn account so you don't lose your trophies and stuff? Will you have to pay for online service to watch Netflix and sync your trophies to the server or just for multiplayer?

This ps4 design shits on Xbox one. Neither are THAT great but I do favor ps4.

I dont think the ps4 is backwards compatible, not 100%. And yes you will keep your ps3 account and stats.
