  • No more single-player DLC planned for The Last of Us

The Last of Us looks to be getting just the one addition to its campaign, after Naughty Dog said it has no plans for further single-player DLC. We knew Left Behind was the only single-player addition of the three in the season pass, the first being the Abandoned Territories pack released in October, and the third previously confirmed as multiplayer too.

"There's multiplayer DLC up next," Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli said on the PlayStation Blog, "We don't have any more single player DLC planned."

So, beyond the season pass, it seems The Last of Us' gritty adventure is at an end - until a sequel comes along, right? Still, it's a shame to say goodbye to Naughty Dog's emotional story, one that pushed The Last of Us to the uber-honor of Joystiq Game of the Year 2013.

Left Behind hopes to provide a loving send-off when it hits on Valentine's Day next month. The prequel delves into Ellie's past, showing her in a more playful light that actress Ashley Johnson described as "like a post-pandemic version of two teenage girls hanging out."

According to the PS Store Left Behind is $15, but for just $5 more you can get the season pass that also covers Abandoned Territories and the next multiplayer DLC.

I still want to play this game. And fuck multiplayer dlc shit ruins everything. All this multiplayer death match and shit pisses me off. Fuck competition focus on stories. And gameplay that's why Sega and Super Nintendo kicked ass there wasn't versus everywhere and companies focused on solid stories or gameplay.

This game is all about story, and man what a story it is.

        Highly recommend it.
        Love.

You sounds like you are owned online lolz.

Story based and MP based games can both be very good. Super nintendo was a lot about MP player as well, u forgot the splitscreen 4 player matches ?

why a MP dlc ruined everything lol?

I'm not bad in versus mode games I just get bored with it. I know it's always a different experience in different types off game modes but I've always enjoyed story single or co op campaign games. I really like when you can co op. On cod ghosts I really enjoy extinction mode. It's a great experience for co op multiplayer story. It's going to be in the dlc packs but the packs mainly focus on dropping versus maps.

solo is the best thing, i know much ppl become retarted from playing to much MP especially shooters-- but deathmatch in last of us LOL haha nice

i rarely play MP on consoles, if a game got no good solo mode, this game is shit. ok maybe coze im in the gaming stuff since i was born mp is to repetitve. except those hardcore games like quake. but like 98% of all cod MOH players they complain so much, spend more time complaining than enjoy the game. those ppls who will look at their selfes in 10 yrs saying OMG how ass was i, why i wasted the time but all cool. i have some good laughts, worth it.

edit- this DLC stuff is the best what the developers could invent. so they never need to finalize a product- throw it on the market, and bring 5 dlcs afterwards, problem solved :/

One of my top games of all time. Wonderful story and beautiful back drop. I've been waiting for the single player dlc for months!

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.
