They're really mostly around 1440p (2K) then upscaled if using a 4KTV. But still, if you want your PlayStation games looking and running their absolute best, you're on a Pro & 4KTV with HDR.

As for native 4K on console, Xbox One X is your best bet right now. But off the top of my head I only know of Red Dead Redemption 2 & Far Cry 5 running native 4K without a dynamic resolution. Anything else that hits native 4K on it I believe fluctuates in resolution depending on the action on the screen. Plenty devs are lazy though (or they want parity between consoles which is bs) because if Red Dead Redemption 2 can hit native 4K with a stable 30fps, there's really no excuse for anyone else. Unless you're targeting 60fps like the Call of Duty's or Battlefield's. Then 1600p or 1800p is understandable as the crappy CPU can only do so much.

I don't think i'll ever buy an Xbox. The exclusive software matters to me when purchasing a console.. they're going to really need to step it up this next generation.

I don't want to derail this thread too much, but they do different things. I don't play PC. I'm strictly a console gamer. And since the original Xbox released, I've gotten both Xbox and PlayStation. They both have something to offer. PlayStation exclusives are mostly all 3rd person action adventure games with a little bit of RPG elements in them. Xbox is better at racing games (Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon), 3rd person shooters (Gears of War), 1st person shooters (Halo), and indie games (Cuphead, Ori). They offer different things. Plus multi-platform games look and run better on Xbox One X. If you're a PC gamer, I get it. If not, Xbox still has its place.

Ori is god tier. I can only hope Will of the Wisps comes out on Nintendo Switch like the first one. Sorry for going off topic lol. Halo and gears both kind of dropped the ball this generation... I'll give Xbox the racing games tho. Halo 5 is what made me sell my xbox one. I'm also not a fan of ANY xbox one controller other than the Elite controller. They feel cheap to me.. but that's just my opinion.

Really? Weird because the batteries give more of a weight to them than the PlayStation controllers. My preference is the Xbox controller because the analog stick placements just feel right. My thumbs collide on the PS controller every now and then. Also, the triggers have always been better to me on the Xbox. But honestly, I'm good either way.

On topic: Ghost of Tsushima looks like a good send-off for the PS4. Hopefully the open world is filled with worthwhile activities and not just errand fluff to bump up the playtime.

Yeah, it's the bumpers I dont like... I've never been a fan of them even on the 360.
