  • Top 360 Exclusives For 2010

Which games will boost Microsoft's console next year?

    Mass Effect 2
The early big hitter for Microsoft. Mass Effect 2 will be a console exclusive for Xbox 360, despite being published by EA, so that's a huge coup for Microsoft. Its pedigree is assured and the sci-fi RPG will almost certainly be one of the early standout titles next year.

    Alan Wake
It's finally on the way, the only question is when it'll be released. Next year is guaranteed but when the exact release is confirmed and the hype begins, the importance of this title will become clear. Right now, it's a mysterious project. As 2010 progresses, it will become a key exclusive.

    Halo: Reach
The name says it all but as with Alan Wake, there's a lot of mystery surrounding Bungie's next project. Yet the Halo name ensures it will demand attention regardless and it will be a high-profile exclusive for the 360, with ODST proving that Halo still commands a lot of mainstream respect and attention.

    Splinter Cell: Conviction
Most don't think of Conviction as an exclusive but the only console it will appear on is 360. The reboot for the Splinter Cell series has already turned heads for its brave new direction, bold design decisions and co-op. Sink or swim, Microsoft knows this is a powerful exclusive to have on its side when it's released.

    Crackdown 2
The sleeper hit won't have a Halo 3 beta to prop it up but arguably, this sequel won't need it. Crackdown was a strong title in its own right which bodes well for the sequel, which looks like it will focus on the OTT action that made the original one of the 360's early standout titles.

    Milo & Kate
It's not going to appeal to the adrenalin-soaked FPS masses but as a showcase for Project Natal, this is crucial. There's no telling how Peter Molyneux's project will play it, as it could be one of those games that lives up to its potential and stuns everyone or disappoints everyone as it fails. There's little inbetween. So which will it be? The intrigue alone carries a lot of worth in the console battle.

    Fable III
The first Fable was a disappointment, the second Fable just about met expectations, so where does that leave the third Fable? Without any solid information and Peter Molyneux vaguely talking about it with his usual pie-in-the-sky ambition, it's hard to tell. But make no mistake, Microsoft will be putting a lot of eggs into its Fable basket as it will look towards this RPG to support its line-up come late 2010.

    Perfect Dark XBLA
A nice, early exclusive to kick off the year. It won't be a major heavyweight in the grand scheme of things but another nice boost to Microsoft's games line-up.

Lineup is average, but good god they need something other than First Person shooters. I'm starting to get sick of them. The market is over-saturated with them. Fable and Alan Wake have potential, everything else is pretty much a rehash of what we've seen over the years save for the Project Natal title.

Alan Wake was suppose to come out before I even got a 360 I think haha that game has been delayed for hella long. But I'm def getting Halo Reach, ME2, and the new Splinter Cell. I miss playing as Sam Fisher

Fable III sounds interesting though with the empire stuff.

Alan Wake reminds me of Indigo Prophecy. I think that Bungie are milking Halo too much. ODST was good but nothing great. I mean they didn't even create a mulitplayer option. They just used Halo 3 multiplayer on the second disc. Reach will sell well because its the next halo game. Just hope that they make it different from the other games.

Halo's Universe has been basically put through hell. There's so many errors in it especially with Reach. ODST was great though, I liked playing as an ODST. It was just wayyyyy too short and the fact that it really didn't move anything foward story wise in the haloverse.
