Xbox 720 Logo Appears in Real Steel Trailer

Real Steel features giant robots battling to the death, but its most futuristic aspect may be an advertisement in a stadium.

As reported by Gamespot, the newest trailer for the Hugh Jackman film features an Xbox 720 logo high in the stands of an arena.



The full trailer is available over at Apple, and the logo can be seen clearly at the 46-second mark.

The latest rumors suggest that the next generation Xbox will be revealed at E3 2012, though nothing official has been announced.

Real Steel hits theaters on October 7th.

While I applaud the thought of including the future xbox, how lame was the creative team that came up with that? Hey lets use the Xbox 360 logo and just replace the number! I know it's a small blip, but seriously... anything would have been better then that. In all likely hood the new Microsoft console is more likely to be titled the "NeXtbox" or Xenon over the Xbox 720.

They've officially announced an xbox 720 several times within the past 2 years so I don't think they will be changing the name. Iunno about Nextbox but i doubt they would name the new xbox Xenon; that is the name of a CPU that is used in xbox 360's so iunno why they would name an entire console after that.

And about the logo I'm sure they will have an entirely different log when they start marketing the xbox 720. Considering they haven't marketed it in any way they probably didn't want to reveal the logo in a movie advertisement but figured it'd still be good publicity for the 720 so just substituted the numbers, ya know?

Looking forward to seeing what microsoft comes up for with the next xbox as the 360 is the most complete console ive seen in a long time since the ps2
