E3 2012: NBA and NHL Coming to Xbox Live

Today at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, it was revealed that, beginning next season, Xbox Live would carry both NBA and NHL game packages.

NBA League Pass appearing on Xbox 360 marks the very first gaming console NBA games can be streamed through. NHL GameCenter, on the other hand, has already been on PlayStation 3 for a couple of years, though its appearance on Xbox Live expands its reach considerably.

Both services will require a separate subscription fee purchased through the NBA and NHL respectively, and it’s unclear whether Xbox Live users will have to have a Gold Live account in order to utilize these services.
