Gears of War: Judgment will release on 19th March 2013, Epic Games has announced - not far off such probably-excellent titles as Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Will the familiar lure of crunchy Gears cover gunplay overpower the lure of Injured Woman Noise Simulator and another helping of sneakily-does-it carnage? You, the discerning buyer, shall decide.
The game was previously rumoured for February release, and sees latter-day backslider Damon Baird leading a team of mostly-new characters against a Locust invasion of Halvo Bay.
Key need-to-knows: it's so hard they had to change the controls, the multiplayer is class-based and does what Gears 3 couldn't, namely Horde versus Beast Mode. Oh, and it's the last Gears game for Xbox 360.
I think People Can Fly could do wonderful things with this one. What's your mileage?
