Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has been sold four million times. Developer 4J Studios announced the figure via Twitter, writing “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has passed 4 million sales! Incredible number, thanks to you all!”
The news means more than one million people have purchased the game since Mojang announced that three million copies had been sold in July. Minecraft.net currently reports that more than 7.5 million people have purchased the game on PC, and we last heard that Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been sold more than 700,000 times on iOS and Android, putting the Minecraft franchise well over 12 million copies sold overall across all platforms.
