American Express has announced a new partnership with the Xbox brand, enabling Cardmembers to utilise AMEX's Card Sync technology in order to "unlock exclusive offers, content and experiences", as well as special in-game rewards for Halo 4.
The partnership is an industry-first and connects interactive entertainment with real life rewards and offers, as follows:
UK Cardmembers simply sync eligible Cards with Xbox Live at www.amexbox.co.uk to access the American Express presence on the Xbox Live dashboard
They will then benefit from exclusive discount offers from merchants such as Carphone Warehouse, Cineworld, Dixon’s Travel and Topman
The Card Sync technology will also be integrated into Halo 4. Gamers can unlock exclusive real-world offers and experiences by reaching key in-game achievements, a first for any game
"For example, the first 5 synced Cardmembers in the UK to complete the campaign solo on Legendary Difficulty will win a coveted trip to attend E3, the world’s biggest annual video games and interactive entertainment conference".
Halo 4 is out on November 6th. Take a look at how the AMEX app will look on the Xbox Dashboard in the images below.
