Fans around the world couldn't wait, so when Halo 4 dropped last Tuesday (November 6), they hit the stores in flocks, recording $220 million in sales in just the first 24 hours.
In the first five days after its release, four million Halo 4 players managed to log 31.4 million hours of gameplay, taking the franchise gameplay hours total to well over 5 billion.
It's been five years since the release of Halo 3 and 11 since the debut of the first installment of the series in 2001. To date, it has generated $3.38 billion for its publisher, Microsoft... and obviously, shows no signs of slowing down.
