Microsoft’s Black Tusk Studios has four games in development, all based around new IP. That’s according to the LinkedIn profile of Black Tusk’s senior product manager and product planner, Jonathan Brown.
Last year it was revealed that Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver had been renamed Black Tusk Studios, and was working on “the next Halo.” That’s not the next Halo sequel, you understand, but the next game to hit those levels of popularity.
Now, however, it turns out that the studio is working on not just one but four potential new series.
Jonathan Brown has worked at Black Tusk since November 2010, during which time he has been “the primary product manager on four unannounced new IP and have been a key contributor to bringing these IP from the very early concept phase through green light to production. “
It’s a heartening move by Microsoft, which seems to be lining up a substantial amount of new properties for (what we can only presume is) the next-generation. As proper decent exclusives seem to drying up towards the end of this gen, we can’t wait to find out what they are.
