Indeed, but it is hard for me to make a complete switch from xbox to playstation. I am sure many people feel the same way. We have put so much time into our username on xbox and our achievements. My friends list is 5 times as large on xbox then on my ps3. So I do not want to lose all my friends just because I only buy a ps4. So ideally I will most likely get a xbox one.
The ps4 is superior in graphics sure, but it offers nothing more then what the ps3 already offers. Xbox has put in a lot more features just to appeal to a wider range of people. People say the live tv and the fantasy league features and voice control is not appealing to the average gamer, but that is not designed to just be for a gamer. That is designed for anyone. It is more of a home entertainment system which I think will give the xbox a edge in sales.
Ps4 will only be better in graphics on exclusive games. Cross platform games designed for both systems are created for the lowest common demoninator. Say say you want madden 25 for ps4, it will look exactly the same and have all the same features as the xbox version. But if you get a exclusive game, those games will be able to utilize all the features it can since it does not have to limit itself on xbox standards. There aren't that many ps4 exclusive games.
You also have to be careful buying games as soon as they come out for either system. We seen what happened with games on the launch of ps3 and xbox 360. They were mediocre and even missing features that their predecessors had because the designers were still getting use to the new architecture. I remember the madden game for ps2 had everything. It had nets for the field goal post, you could run into the sidelines players, it had franchise, it had better commentary, it had create a team, relocate a franchise, you could be owner and set ticket prices, upgrade your stadium, it had scouting college talent, and position battles, captains etc.
The first year it came out for ps3, it didn't have any of this. Hell it took them 7 more years to put a field goal net back in and they are just now putting all the ownership, create a team, relocation, setting prices etc back in this year after it not being on the xbox 360/ps3 versions at all but still being on the original xbox and ps2 versions back in 2004-2006! So I can only imagine how limited the first year titles for the next gen systems will be.

And the PS4 is a huge improvement over the ps3 in social interacting with your friends and other players, did you watch e3?
Demo games using online streaming. Streaming service subscription could also be a possibility, pay a monthly fee for access to as many games as you want. Download updates and entire games in the background.
Play games while they are downloading, no need to wait.
Every PS4 game will be available for download.
Upload and share game play video on the fly. Stream games while you’re playing or watch other people play.
If you need help a friend can take over the game and get you through the difficult part your having trouble with.Last edited by brad; 07-13-2013, 11:10 PM.Love.
