Microsoft adopts a unique Destiny marketing campaign in Europe, advertising Bungie's upcoming first-person shooter in the style of an exotic perfume at destinyfragrance.com.
The ad doesn't hold up to scrutiny, though. Click through and you'll see the following message: "Destiny is actually an epic new first-person shooter, available on Xbox. Thing is, we didn't have permission to run adverts for the game. So we didn't. Thanks for smelling that something was up. Now get the game and become a legend."
Taking the statement at face value, Sony presumably has Destiny's regional ad campaign on lock. Still, it's a real shame to know that a Destiny-inspired fragrance isn't in the works. We may never know what moon wizards smell like.
