Only fear Of Death/Reincarnation Mastered

A friend of me, some people will know him by the name Roger. Old school 2pac forum member/collector is doing a school were he is learning to work in music studios/mastering proces etc.

He mastered the song Only Fear Of Death.

When he showed me this I was " wow ". Its so much nicer.

for example he changed the next things
- drums are smoother/more echo in the drums.
- that short background sample volume is louder
- more echo in the vocals

Plus he did alot other things to make it sounds better. It sounds alot smoother for me now. Nice to see what someone can do when mastering it, and its not even a proffesional yet.


people that dont hear the difference, please buy a good sound system

i did the same with boosting few db of 16khz and 4khz and removed some low-end muddies.

snare drum is still out of place, trowing parallel compression could glue it nicely, but nobody can help this song much since its half assed mixdown.

adding reverb effect over whole mix is not good thing, but original mixdown is totally dry without any effects so its lived up lil bit now.
