    noob question

    what is it when you master a song? isit got to do with the volume levels and transitions etc? Im not sure lol

    its basically making everything sound as loud as possible without distorting anything... whatever you do to achieve that is "mastering"

    some people definition of what "loud" is are different though....

      If I give you 2 mixes, one mastered and one not, can you tell me if I did it properly?

        sure man... as long as nothing is distorted then im pretty much just giving my personal opinion on how i would have done it differently (if at all) though... like i said.. some people have different tastes.. as long as nothing is obviously horrible sounding then its all about the mind thats mixing it..

        but yea.. just send me a pm and ill tell you what i see..
