The acapella flows good on this instrumental, thats because the same drums as the og. Not really a big fan of the beat itself, it sounds a bit weird and messy sometimes.

Made the mix to be like some alt og or some shit like that. if i wanted it to sound different then i wouldnt have used the beat which was called 'rearview instrumental re-sampled'.

I don't understand that to be honest. Like said the mix was a switch-up to give the retail a different vibe. I dont need to 'play it safe' as I said my intentions were not to make it sound different. I've made plenty of mixes for giving the acapella a difference, in reference to the word you used; 'always'. I repeat then, its not to sound new but to change it around, plenty of the best mixers make O.G vibes, switch-ups etc, so they would understand the purpose of giving the retail a different feel or reincarnating a fucked up O.G. If you can't understand that purpose because your trapped in the younger audience of 2Pac remixing, with wack pop instrumentals and 'custom hooks', then you shouldnt be criticizing this mix. That's like hating a different brand of butter cuz it don't taste like chocolate. But thanks for listening and giving your critic anyway.

If this sounds too much like the og, then i suggest you go back and check that one out. Sure this version has like Lars said the same drums, but it sure as hell don't sound like the og.. I love the freshness of this version. After bumping the retail version since 97 and it being one of my favorite, favorite songs ever.... I'm happy to hear the pella with a new twist sorta say. Good job Jayy
