  • Favorite 2Pac remixers?

I've been following the 2Pac remix scene for nearly ten years, and considering how badly many of Pac's songs were remixed on the retail releases, I consider the active fan-remix scene to be a great thing. I like many fan-made remixes more than the official remixes, and some even better than the original versions.

Some of my favorite remixers through the years include:

    DJ Fatal
    LM45z
    Lil' Prophet
    DJ LV
    Berocke
    DJ Dant
    Crukstarz
    Whizz
    D-Ace
    DJ One
    Krew
    R-Tistic
    Warpath
    3en
    DJ critikaL
    Nozzy-E
    DJ Miqu
    Silkkis
    Jovian

    And your favorites?

I like the old school type of mixers/remixers. I am not a fan of people that mix 'pac with people like he game, eminem and new beats all the time just for the views.

People like 3en, LM45, Kingdizy, Na$, DJ Dant, whizz were super dope in the past. I was never a big fan of DJ Fatal. He got the connections, but never was a big fan of his remixes.

These days I mostly enjoy people like Krew, Cvince, Dopfunk, D-ace, Tricki, Papaveli and some others.

To be honest I dont really listen to fan made remixes anymore, tired of them.

Honestly, I'll take a quality Nas, Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli, etc. verse over a E-40 or Sista Soulja verse any day. The problem with many of the official remixes is that the modern mainstream artists are often subpar. But the net-mixers have the luxury of using quality beats and artists, and if a remix sounds good, I don't care whether a modern artist/beat is used.

As I said, I started to keep up with the remix scene in the MixEmUp days, but I'm not familiar with all the newer mixers. Care to recommend some of DJ Cvince's best tracks?

I have many of DJ Scholar's mixes on my hard drive, but none on my 2Pac playlist.

BTW, your remix of Don't Go 2 Sleep is my favorite mix of that acapella.

Thats the problem, most of the remixes with modern sounds like crap lol.

                  Exactamundo!

This is why of the many thousands of remixes I have on my hard drive only a hundred or so remain in rotation.

War Gamez (featuting The Outlawz) (Dj Cvince)... probably the best mix of that pella in my opinion.

Thanks, its not really 100% where I want it to be, I will update it on the mixtape I am working on, it will be in better quality. I just need to fix my hp notebook that overheats when mixing (fan is clogged and heatsink is no good).

                        And your favorites?
I've been following for about 5 to 8 years but it's only been in the last 3 or so years that I've discovered real good quality mixes that I no longer tend to look for new producers as much. I first started out downloading mixtapes from datpiff, mixtape websites and other peer 2 peer file sharing sites as well as downloading entire mixtape section of mob-figgaz, tupacnation and some other 2Pac websites most of which have been deleted or archived to serve as a purpose to see how far my playlist has since improved. It took me a while to establish and realize the types of mixes I liked.

My favorite use to be DJ CritiKaL and Lm45z but now I only kept two tracks of Lm45z (a retail enhancement and a switch-up) and moved DJ CritiKaL's mixes to my 2Pac deleted archive which I do not listen to. My favorite and most listened to is D-ACE as well as the latest mixtape from D-ACE & LV I like Wadz, Papaveli, Tricki (Klockwork), CVince, Phonkey Dee mostly OG-Pac sounding vibes I only count the DJ's that I have at least several descent sounding remixes. I have mixes from DJ Fatal, Lil' Prophet, Dant, one 3en, Miqu, Krew, Jayyremix but like 3 on average so don't list them. I have 4 mixes from DJ 4Thugno (DOPFunk) wish he would create more 2Pac mixes

It is kind of embarrassing but when I first came along 2Pac-Forum site mixes on a mixtape website I was trash talking and thought they was somewhat lame but it turned out they're some of the best mixes I ever had.. as long as they're mixed well. pac-vibe, untagged / dj drop and nonsense free and I see myself being able to listen to them each and everytime without skipping or being able to listen several times on repeat they're keepers but I still keep well mixed mixtape and mixes in an archive just encase I overlooked and so it doesn't feel like I wasted so much time streaming and downloading 1000's of tracks.

I started to scour utube a lot lately trying to find new mixes, mostly come across dedicated 2Pac remix channels but for the most part I prefer DJ's that consistently release good mixes

DJ One & 3en is the same DJ btw

^ Edit to correct, DJ One & 3en are different DJ's. I got confused as they collaborated on a remix called Only Fear of Death which credited the producer as DJ One 3en.. it had a lot of people confused till DJ One cleared up he mixed the track while 3en produced the beat.
