Thug 4 Life [Boxer's OG Cut]

Even after getting the right BPM the acapella manages to slowly go off beat intermitantly. I had to make cuts to the acpaella which I absolutely hate. I don't mix songs this way but the acapella seems screwed up. Can anyone provide me with a high quality Thug 4 Life acapella that hasn't been fucked?

Actually after listening to it again I realized the actual cassette tape rip instrumental part was sampled, remastered and then new drums put over it and the studio acappella used. And Hannibal is right. Phonkey Dee remade the beat.

This is the best that i did back last year, an okay remake. jus never had drums that would match the original anyways, so i didnt care much about it.

It's a good mix but its hard to hear certain instruments and vocals. How many compressors did you use?

Did you have any problem mixing the acapella? The reason I asked is because it seems my acapella was tampered with. I used tempo 99.170.

yea, this acapella was originally 98.65 if i remember and i think the original of Thug for life is like 100 or somethin so i must've time stretched it to match the tempo and theres literally so much reverb on it that it was drowning everything. idk how many compressors honestly, ill have to pull up the project to check (which im gonna do right now and see, maybe fix stuff)

and i think the acapella is whatever they used for loyal2thegame and they obviously slowed stuff down for that album.

personally i think its the heavy base that gives your version a bit of a fresh feel. the ogv's have always sounded similar over the years. and the drums on this are great, could be a it louder but over all this is my fav mix of this track ive heard.
