Listening to it and up to Hellrazor. Good so far, but why does Hellrazor sound like it's slowed down? It's really the only so far that's lacking

I posted a version last year that had a faster BPM, but this one is closer to the OG. I see what you mean could potentially change the bpm.

Stay True Instrumental - Pretty nice, could use some harder drums, they sound flat. & warmer bass. The guitar is very good

Thug Life Intro - I'm too familiar with this sample, about a week ago lol. Bass is mad loud. I'd highpass it a bit to knock off the bleeding 20hz. Sounds like a 2Pac kind of intro, nicely done.

Gettin Money - Honestly, I'm burnt out on Gettin Money OG Remakes, there's atleast 3 posted every year, but it's apart of your tape so I'll drop you with how I feel about it. The kick is way light, the drums are pretty good but they need a steroid lift. The "if you die you is a busta cause real niggas don't die" is in the wrong tune to the original, but it's nice how you spread it out.

Enemies With Me - Everything is on point here, good drums, but that snare ruins the overall mix. It needs a jesus compressor

Nothing 2 Lose - Exceptional remix, creative, awesome intro. Similar to the original but different in it's own way. Real solid this one. I love the lowpass sections you did

Thug 4 Life - The kick drum in this is reminiscent of how I felt about the snare in Enemies With Me. It offers no depth. The snare clap on the other hand is wicked. There's a note at the end of the bassline that's out of key

Hellrazor - Bangin! Simply put, you added all the movie samples which no ones done before, Val Young imo needs to be cut. The mix is dragging a bit compared to the original however which is the only thing I don't like about it, otherwise perfect remake to date

Thugs Get Lonely - I've heard too many OG remakes that sound identical to this, so it doesn't really offer anything to me worth noting.

Lie 2 Kick It - It's another one of those remakes I've heard too much before with looping of the sample.

Thug Style - Don't like the drums, and the beat sounds cheap. The bassline is dope

Hold On - Nice vibe, the pella is dragging a bit, but a good feel mix

Thug 4 Life - Bass needs some work, same notes are out of key as the other mix. I prefer how you arranged this mix doe'

Nothing 2 Lose & Hellrazor were definitely my highlights

Despite the overused remakes that have been done plenty, it can't really go without this tracklist, with the available studio accas. Your mixing creativeness is there, but the sound majority of the mixes themselves need more mastering/fx/compression/dirt/lift, to go along with better drum sound selections. I sounded just like this when I started so I'm not frontin'

Hey! the overall project is good. Like KW said you could take time to equalize your drums on some tracks. I prefer the 1995/96 Pac's tracks so i can't say i love these remakes but i have to say your idea is good and the remakes you did are pretty solid and serious. Now you need time to work the layering on each of your remakes to approach perfection. Keep doin!

Cheers thats a pretty meaty response, although sadly I think those finer points are above my pay grade

I don't really consider myself a producer in terms of this stuff, originally I started remaking these to give me something lossless to bump in the car for anything not avaliable in good quality as mix accurate remakes seemed a lacking market. This is likely to be my last contribution to remakes & as far I will be going with this so if the project could inspire others to delve into pursuing forensic detail of remakes & building on this that would be good to watch.

Bro, definitely I think the sound you recreate is amazing. Love that Stay True vibe (even a full version). No matter what happens, I will always appreciate your work and welcome ANY remakes you produce and hope indeed you continue to release additional projects. We need your work indeed.
