Got a great pella for the OG to R U Still Down from [MENTION=15514]killathuggRMX I'm trying to figure out a way to put both versions together (OG & Retail) with the OG instrumental remake I did for Jon B & 2Pac remix. It's taking some work re-pitching the beat to fit the OG and I'm gonna have to rework some of the arrangements also. I'm trying to do it fast to make the deadline for the [MENTION=7122]LiquidOcelot mixtape

For some reason this is another song that's very hard to remix/remake/OG Vibe it, but it it seems like you were able to get to pull through to the end of it. The only thing I noticed and this is more of an issue with the beat than what you did. When I was recreating the beat, because it was actually tailor made to fit Jon B's AYSD, I knew there would be problems down the line trying to add the RUSD OG vocals to it, especially with me pitching the key of the beat down to fit AYSD. The other thing I noticed when I tried to even do it myself. The arrangements for my version of the beat would have problems synching it to either OG acapellas because I add filler spots to accommodate AYSD. I also noticed when constantly listening to RUSD OG over and over to make the beat, it actually sounds like 2Pac's 3rd verse, hook and end was added onto the song but the beat is actually a repeat of the 1st and 2nd verse section arrangements. Whew, lol I used to hate doing book reports/essays in school but some reason I cant make my messages shorter than that lmao...

[MENTION=15514]killathuggRMX Maaaaaaan I'm having that same problem lol. Even as I'm reworking the beat, I'm have to chop up up the vocals (slightly) to make sure it stays on beat. I also had to change the BPM to 92.5 so I wouldn't have to do so much chopping. I also had to re-watch the notes of the melody. So far I've only gotten thru 1 verse lol

This is a wild as hell guess, but i was playing around with pitching a single guitar sample from "Pumpin' It Up" by P-Funk All Stars and i noticed a similarity to what sounds like a guitar in RUSD. It could easily be a clavinet, but who knows. I really wish it was revealed if there are samples in this song.

I'm pretty sure the "Yeah" vocal sample comes from the G Funk Intro (Snoop Dogg). That melody in RUSD sounds like that piano in G Funk Intro too. Maybe Shock G replayed that or both songs share the same yet unknown melody sample.
