I've always been unimpressed with the quality and finiahed retail versions of They Don't Give A Fuck About Us and Soon As I Get Home.
They just feel like the crappy bootleg versions we already got. Aside from increased quality, I feel they also need a free extra things done with the beat to make it shine more, bhave breaks in the beat during certain parts of the verses and make the chorus on Soon As I Get Home feel a little more 3D sounding. These 2 classic songs could be SO much more!
And lastly, there's a few crap quality tracks that still never leaked in full Q
- Grab The Mic
- Mind Of A Badboy
- Thugz Mansion outlawz version (AKA Gotta Get Away)
- Late Night '95 aka Till My Dyin Day feat Outlawz
I know yours are just enhancing existing tracks and not complete remasters but I wanted to throw these out there.
I remember once I had quality version of TDGAFAU that leaked back with the Makaveli & Dillinger album. That one had some really cool sounding alternating tones from a theremin device in the background that all the new versions currently lack, especially the retail from Pac's Life wow that track is boring and repetitive instruments. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I can barely extract them from the version you can find online, see below.
I used to have a QUALITY version of TDGAFAU that wasn't stripped down and neutered from any instruments. It may not have even been the Daz version but I do know it was back in that time frame. I remember I was able to extract it to a point where the ONLY audiable sounds where some snares and the theremin tones, which are barely noticable in most versions today and even the remakes that have them aren't fluid/dynamically changing throughout the song their just repetitive.
Of all the versions of TDGAFAU I have, this is the best I could do to extract and show you all what I'm talking about. Give it a listen and note how it constantly changes with the mood of the song, someone did an incredible job with this and it's a shame it's buried away..
