Thanks for listening to Ghost's constructive criticism.

You need to mix vocals on the beat/onbeat. Vocals shouldn't be mixed too fast or too slow, as they would sound weird like Blueface.
Find beats that are of a similar tempo as the vocal track.

Make sure the beat and vocal volumes are level, and take your time mixing everything down.
Quick rough mixes are great for concepts, but not for final mixes.

i was doing it all by ear. plus i synced the bpm in the programm im uusing itself.keep in mind i dont have a laptop or a p.c. im on my phone lol.

is there any ways to match the tempo right without checking everytime (i found out there are sites for that).

of course the volume(s) should be mixed too and seems way easier than matching the bpm.

is there any golden ratio rule for tempo matching?

Me personally, I change tempo by ear in Sony Acid Pro 7.0, and don't use the beatmapping feature or any other automatic tempo matching plugin

For tempo checking I use this website sometimes https://tunebat.com/Analyzer

And if you've done these through your phone then it's impressive but you should use a computer as it's much easier.

Don't use a beat if you have to significantly change the tempo of the vocals too fast or too slow.

lol im still on ACID 4.0. I just use Virtual DJ to check BPMs... usually i'll just start throwing different beats up until I hear something I want to mix. It's a good way of seeing all of your similar BPMs together.

If the BPM is matching on the acapella and instrumental... you really just need to worry about being on bar. Listen to how pac flows on the original track that your mixing.. you can hear where his voice will land on a certain type of drum.. and try to replicate that.

SOMETIMES (literally like... 1 out of 100) depending on the beat... mixing on an off bar will come out good, and sound unique and great... but for the most part... the other 99/100 times.. it just sounds like you layed the vocals onto the incorrect part of the beat.

Yeah man, the older versions are the best to use!

has the bpm have to be the exact same?

The BPM does need to be identical for the song to be on beat for the entirety of the song, unless you want to chop the acapella up a hundred times and move stuff to the correct spot, but then it'll sound awful anyways.

Yeah, listen to the original closely before mixing anything, you have to kick the verses in at the same point they do in the original, snare drum wise. Kind of hard to explain but i could show you with a example later what i mean.
