I Ain't Mad At'cha (Wizzattz OG Vibe)

Aight this will prolly be me last preview for a while cuz I gotta go back an finish a lot of my other mixes that i previewed. As far as this one, I looked up to find an instrumental version of "A Dream" by Debarge. I didn't think there was gonna be one, but surprisingly there is. Of course with songs from back in the day when it comes to sampling damn near the whole beat, there has to be a lot of chopping, cutting and lining up the sample to make sure it lines up perfectly. I used the kick and snare from "I Ain't Mad At'cha" to keep the overall sound intact. As far as the hi-hats, cymbals and bass line, I replayed them and just lined them up with whatever the "A Dream" sample was doing. I also tested out replaying the Rhodes that are the beginning of "I Ain't Mad At'cha" throughout the verses. (It sounds kinda cool lol) I used a [MENTION=943]MrMind acapella of the album version.

Hell yeah. I had thoughts of adding more instruments to it, but the Debarge "A Dream"sample pretty much is telling me "Don't add anything else!" Lol.

Over the years when I would listen to "A Dream", there's kind of a switch up section to the beat towards the end where i would always hum the "Still I Rise OG" flute melody along with it, cuz to me it sounds like it could go well with that part of the song. What y'all think? Yeh or Neh?

Lmao, a week has turned into almost 3 months. Damn, i didn't realize that much time had passed. I'm almost finished. I had to figure out how to fit in the alternate 3rd verse from the "Clean/Video Mix" after [MENTION=943]MrMind sent me the acapella to make a 4 verse full version. At the moment i'm having a bit of trouble recreating the intro piano section so that when i upload the instrumental, it won't skip that part. The piano's that i have on Reason 8.0 are great, but they don't sound quite like what was used in "I Ain't Mad At Cha". If anyone has a decent recreation of that part maybe i can use that instead of having to go through the trouble of recreating it. (credit would be given for that section if used)
