Watched "Verzuz" with The Isley Brothers vs Earth, Wind & Fire (I usually don't watch the show, but I had to watch this episode. It was EPIC!!!) When the dj D'Nice played EW&F's "I'll Write A Song For You" I thought about sampling more parts of the song to draft up a cool OG Vibe for "Hold On Be Strong". also sampled the other samples to rebuild the song from scratch like usual. I might add some other elements later, but for now here's the draft so far.

It will be when I finish it. This one shouldnt take me too long to complete since I'm making it mostly with samples. I did have to replay the bass and the cello sounding instruments and the hihats.

I find that when you keep 2Pac or any artist in their particular element it sounds more authentic. If the song is going to be remixed, keep in mind what was already there originally in the production and expand upon it. That way it'll sound damn near like it could be an official mix. That could be just my opinion though. I understand how some producers want to show their own skills and styles rather than trying to make remakes, OG Vibes and enhancements, cuz it can get to be real tedious trying to pull off a decent mix to stand up against the OGz. I feel its worth it though.

Do yall happen to know what the other sample is that plays on the hook of the OG version? I have no clue what it could be. If not, maybe Joecool, MrMind, KillathuggRMX or whoever has time can isolate the sound to where i can add it in.

I noticed while redoing the bass line and cello that it fits right in when I filtered the bass line from the other parts of the EW&F sample. It kinda makes me wonder was there a version that hasnt been released that is somewhat like this as opposed to the OG and the Retail versions that we got that has no EW&F samples playing during the verses?
