Back in '94 DJ U-Neek made a remix to "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and then Bone took the remix beat and recorded a new track over it ("East 1999") which gave me an idea. In '97 DJ U-Neek made a remix to "If I Could Teach The World" which I never really appreciated, I've always preferred the original as well as his other remix which sampled Chaka Khan's "Sweet Thing". I remembered that the remix was released as a promo single which also included the instrumental and the beat itself is nice, I just feel that "If I Could Teach The World" had a different vibe. I had just created a "Till We Dead & Gone" CPU acapella and realized that the BPM's were similar so I decided to mix the two!
"Till We Dead & Gone" was recorded sometime 97-98 (around the same time the beat was made) so I figured it was also a perfect match to create a "what if" scenario; what if Bone had recorded a new track to the "If I Could Teach The World" remix instrumental like they did with the "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" remix instrumental? If they would've, this is how I imagine it would sound!
I wanted to add Bizzy as well so I tried to find a verse from 97-98 which was on key and had a similar BPM, decided to try with "Praise The Lord" and it all blended perfectly IMO!
Sorry for the long introduction... Enjoy y'all!
I'll add a download link here in the description tomorrow.
