    1) Intro -- This is pretty dope. It needs to be mixed better. It's not that bad technically, but it *can* be better. Good stuff.

    2) Ghetto Gospel -- The ultra-wide vocals in this a so wide that they jump right out of the mix altogether. The beat is excellent, but the mix is poor. Narrowing the vocals would help a lot, or perhaps taking one channel and centering it, while taking the other vocal channel and widening that with a stereo delay to give them some breadth.

    3) When We Ride On Our Enemies -- This mix is pure wickedness. Great job! I would choose this over the original mix for sure. It seems to lack a bit in the high-end freq. range, and the vocals might lack some sheen, but I'm just being picky here. Goddamn great work!

    4) Soulja's Story -- I love the beat but the vocals sound too thin. They sound like the ghost of some actual vocals. They definitely need to be fleshed out; the beat walks all over the them and buries them. Again, altogether some excellent work, it just needs to be mastered better. (Note: the chorus vocals sound better than the verse vocals

    5) Still Ballin' -- The Carlos Santana guitar sample is used quite well here, though it lacks bite. Some light distortion effect might bring it out; it sounds flat as it is. Technical issues aside, great mix!

    6) So Many Tears -- That low piano used throughout the song sounds off: it does not fit. The elements of this beat sound off-key and it just generally does not come together right. 2nd verse vocals are just too poor of quality to be used successfully. This track is a mess. Nice effort, but it is not successful.

    7) Runnin' From The Police -- Can't complain about much here. It works well, but is fairly bland. It was already done better by 2pac and this mix brings nothing new to the table.

Breathin' -- Great mix. The beat is too monotonous, and should surely be fleshed out. Otherwise great work.

    9) The Uppercut -- This sounds like some 1992/1993 shit for sure. It's okay. Nothing special.

    10) Nigga Nature -- This is kind of dope. Very simply and straightforward but it works fairly well. Enjoyable but not a knockout like some of the other tracks. Good job!

    11) Whatz Ya Phone Number -- Let me state right away: I hate this sample, and the usage of this sample, while technically fitting, does *not* fit this songs content. This work doesn't do it for me. Technically decent, but artistically stunted.

    12) Enemies With Me -- This starts out quite strong and keeps it going well. The beat gets monotonous, unfortunately. Good track, but it's too formulaic.

    13) Hennessey -- Now this is some shit you can groove to. It's hard to go wrong with this Isley sample when properly executed -- and here it done pretty well. Needs bassline! Drums are kind of corny overall. Again monotonous. Some additional electric guitar flourishes would be nice.

    14) Open Fire -- Vocals sit in the cut a bit low; mixing could be a bit more precise. Chorus sounds out of place. I like the chorus, it just sounds soo low quality, ridiculously low quality. Decent mix at best.

    15) Hellrazor -- This is a good remake. Can't slight it for what it is -- a high-quality remake. Great work.

    16) Thugz Mansion -- The chorus vocals are too low-quality. The beat is decent. Enjoyable.

    17) Outro -- Nice.

1 Changes Inst. -- The acoustic piano sample is cheesy. Get a better acoustic piano sample on this bitch! This just sounds too plastic overall. Not bad, but kind of amateurish sounding.
It make homos game at females.

Wow, great review man, thanks alot this is the kind of stuff i need. I agree with the points u made, theres still the things i need 2 get under control better, wich is mixing and mastering. I hope that on the next volume ill have become some better. Some vocals like Souljas Story and the Hook from Thugz Mansion are in bad quality cuz they are CPU made wich i cant really make much better sounding. I also agree about So Many Tears, to be honest I didnt even wanted it on the tape, but some people told me to defenitely put it on cuz they really liked it, so i just decided 2 put it on. Yeah about changes, ill have 2 get me some better piano sounds i guess, it was some soundfont i used here. I gonna buy me a real keyboard soon and i hope its good and improves my sounds.

Anyways thanks again for taking your time to make this review.

"I gonna buy me a real keyboard soon and i hope its good and improves my sounds."

Vintaudio Upright Piano Samples used to be some of my faovorites several years back:
        Upright Piano Collection

But definitely Giga or Akai samples would be much better, in general, than soundfonts. That's not to say that there aren't some excellent soundfonts out there, since I had many that I found superior to any of the more professional instrument samples on the market. I don't recall the names of the best piano soundfonts off the top of my head, but there were some truly excellent ones available for free several years ago (I havn't made any music since 2004 so I'm a bit behind the times. )

before i start my review let me tell u that i cant say anything about the techniques and the deatails of your mixes because i am not a mixer at all so i can only review the songs on how they simply sound to me.

intro: 4/5 i love the first 10 sec (and the rest ofcourse too). ever thought of making a "cuz i had to remix" with that sample? damn that would be dope!

ghetto gospel: 3/5 never been a friend of this song. sound like the og to me.

when we ride on our enemies: 5/5 pure dopeness! great job. better than the og to me!

souljas story: 5/5 another highlight. love everything. the vocals could be a bit louder.

still ballin: 4/5 fits very well over the lil homies/santana sample

so many tears: 4/5 cant complain about it. nice!

runnin from the police: 4/5 well done again. vocals sound not too good.

breathin: 4/5 sounds fresher than the boring og.

uppercut: 4/5 sounds nice. cant say too much about it.

nigga nature: 4/5 very nice again. the bass is a bit too heavy in the chorus imo.

whats ya phone#: 1/5 actually the sample fits to the song but i simply hate this sample!

enemies with me: 4/5 another og vibe done very well!

hennessey: 4/5 cant go wrong with this one. funky fresh!

open fire: 2/5 not really feeling this one.

hellrazor: 3/5 sounds like the og and i dont like the og but fans of the og will love it.

thugs mansion: 5/5 another highlight. even though the vocals in the chorus are not the best u gotta love it. u did the best u could do with the vocals and therefore u deserve my props.

outro: cant say much about it.

bonus instrumental: 3/5 i never liked the song.

overall this 4/5. def a keeper and of the best mixtapes i've enjoyed for a long time. THANX. keep up the good work and hopefully we can enjoy more of your mixes soon.
u didnt disappoint me at all! u got mad talent!!! crazy!

ps: i'm still hoping u can remake that fortune& fame retail instrumental for me

just download hypersonic 2 or some other VST for better piano sounds...also check www.native-instruments.com
anyway, u cant really complain on mixing n mastering issues because its done at home, all in the box on a normal computer, digitally....
but spending lil bit cash on acoustic treatment in room and studio monitors would be superb increase in ur production and mixing workflow

                      Yamaha HS80M

                      KRK ROKIT RP5

and also UAD PCI card for most professional plugins wold do a trick.

some decent tracks on this mixtape ... since I'm a fan of OGVs vs. Remixes - the two cuts that I enjoyed most are Thug Mansion & Hellraiser

                        thanks for the effort

Im not a big fan of og vibes from songs we alreayd have, than i rather prefer listening to the og's

                            will give feedback soon.
