That disc was more intentional in terms of darkness and meaningful tracks while disc 1 was more gangsta and relationship-based. (bad explanation but the best I could word it lol)

@Mr. Kennedy
2. Hellrazor - Too mellow of a beat for this one, hook doesn't go great with this beat either. 7/10
3. Fake Ass Bitches - Damn, I had to roll one up to this beat. Starts off on wrong bar though. It kinda ruins the song for me. 8/10
5. Thug Style - Can't go wrong with a Quik beat I guess haha. Pac flows really well on it though. Great job, nice blend. 8/10
6. Homeboyz - Love the beat but nah, not with this pella homie. Can't get jiggy with this one haha 6/10
7. Thug In Me - Man, this beat been played out since 2007 haha 5/10
9. Niggaz Nature - Nice laidback beat, the vocals just don't flow right over it imo. 6/10
10. Bitch Again - Not bad at all homie! Like this one a lot, hook was filled in nice and proper. 9/10
11. Sucka 4 Luv - Not a fan of this one, it's pretty smooth though. The beat sounds really familiar. 7/10
12. Can U Get Away - Damn this one is dope, glad I'm smokin to this one haha. The vocals go great with this one. 10/10
14. Fuck Em All - Love this WC song! haha Pac flowed really well on this, this pella goes great with west coast bangers. 9/10
15. Hennessey - Up N Da Club! Didn't think this pella would go so well with this beat. Quik's beats work wonders! 9/10
16. Old School - Well if it wasn't this pella, it would have been used for Thug 4 Life haha it's okay, kinda been there, done that feeling about it. 7/10
17. Initiated - Mixed well, wished it started on the right bar but its still good. It does give off a original vibe to me as both songs are just tracks the DR fam went in on. 8/10
1. Only Fear Of Death - Ehh, weak drums are a let down for me. Everything is great, just needs some raw hard-hitting drums. 7/10
2. Dont Go 2 Sleep - Beat is played out to me, 2003-2004 played out. Pac's build up was good though. 5/10
3. Dont Fuck With A Killa - Love the dark vibe but you should of adjusted the beat to the vocals. 8/10
5. Holler If Ya Hear Me - Wicked! This could of been so raw if it were to start on-bar. Great choice for the beat though, classic. 7/10
6. Locked Up - Another been there, done that mix. Others have been mixed better as well. Pac doesn't come off as hype as the OG and other mixes. 6/10
8. Po Nigga Blues - This one is great! Pac flowed really well on this shit. Smooth as hell. 9/10
9. Smile - Really interesting mix with Maxwell thrown in but the mixing isn't very good. Sounds like a VeliVel mix lmao. 5/10
10. My Block - You know I'm lovin the classic beat. Great job on this one homie. 9/10
11. Thugz Mansion - Mixed this Quik beat once before, the vocals are really high on this one. The beat itself is mastered to its limit so I understand. 8/10
12. Happy Home - Love the laidback beat, doesn't start out on-bar so there's the flaw. 8/10
14. Don't Stop The Music - Ehh, not my kind of shit. Reminds me too much of LTTG with the Em beat. 5/10
15. Lie 2 Kick It - Sounds like a filler track to me, not really feeling this one. It's mixed well though 6/10
17. My Life - Risky with the Wayne hook but you gotta do what's right to you regardless. It's an okay mix. 7/10
18. Hold On - Beat sounds familiar as hell, gives off a real positive feel though which I like. Pac flowed really well on this beat. 8/10
Overall - I feel this tape should of just been one disc with two sides to it (Tear Drops side / Closed Caskets side), not two discs. There's too much filler material that outweighs the other quality mixes. You got lots of potential though.
Just some pointers:
1. Make sure you have Pac start on-bar
2. 85% of the time, you should adjust the beat to the vocals. It can make the vocals sound lazy if slowed down too much.
3. Don't use played out beats or beats that don't match up with the lyrics.
Keep up the work ethic though.Last edited by KREW; 04-11-2012, 10:39 AM.
