gave it a listen most of it is dope and in heavy rotation...i'm really a big fan of your og vibe/enhancements and your remixes are good too. but ur bread and butter is the ogv/enhancements imo. this life i lead and initiated were my least favorite but still good just not my taste. maybe u can try doing a revised version redoing a cpl of ur remixes on this tape and make "The World is Mine" 1.5.. or put out a bonus/scrapped disk with remixes and other work you've done lately thats not on this mixtape. overall great mixtape!

yea.. i hear you... if i had it my way i would put out a tape with just og vibes / enhancements... but i dont wanna leave any audience out u know? i want there to be something for everyone on the tape... so everyone enjoys something on it... (hopefully)

im really not your typical DJ.... i kinda just always made remixes and enhancements specifically so i could listen to ogs that i didnt like lol.. this way i could hear the vocals on something i really liked and made me want to listen to them... i started sharing them around... then people suggested that i put them up for everyone to hear... people seemed to really take a liking to what i was doing and suggested i start putting out mixtapes... so thats what i kinda been doing... lol.. mixtapes are not really my thing... but people like them so i keep doing them... and it helps promote the forum!

i will be putting out extra mixes from now on to help "promote" this tape... so you will be hearing new sht from time to time! dont worry about that...

lol.. i was surprised that no one used that song before... it seems someone did though..

it was hard to make that mix fit my standards as far as editing goes because a lot of work needed to be done in order for it to sound perfect... it took a wile to do but i got it done... ive been trying to get it done for years but i wasnt as good at editing before... even after all the editing i still woudnt have even put it out if i hadnt got the strings from [MENTION=2072]Klockwork... cuz you can hear the strings fade out from the chorus on the snoop song before each verse... so i needed to have strings in my too before his verses so it would overlap them.....

even though that song just seems like a filler song on the snoop album... the beat is dope as fck...

no its not just you.... it does sound different... i really tried to make the added sample louder then the og sample in there to completely muff it out... cuz if the og sample was louder it would definitely sound off.. but idk... i was debating whether or not that would work it i seemed to get it to a level where the combined sounds almost make a completely different sound... like if someone didnt know that they og sample was in the song they might not realize its in there... lol.. idk.. its kinda hard to explain i guess... at the very beginning u notice it right a way that something might be a bit off here... but then either u get used to the new sound and dont notice that or i guess it might just sound off the entire song... but it does sound at its worst at the very beginning but then gets more drowned out... idk if thats because i misplaced the first bar of the sample and it just corrects itself after a couple seconds or if i just get used to it... lol..

The tracks that stand out IMO are...

1) Starin' Thru My Rearview - One Mic Remix

One Mic is one of the greatest Nas tracks ... I like everything about his track ... the beat, the flow and the vibe. One Mic had some significant "repeat time" on my stereo system back in the day. Papa's remix works... I never would have thought I'd be handing out approval for any STMR remixes ... but this track sounds legit! I absolutely love it.

2) Hold On ... awesome remix

3) All of the OG-V and OG-E are done very well


Overall, a mixtape with a few gems for everyone .... great job and thanks for the share!
