imo new productions isnt a good idea because most "producers" with exception of d-ace, cvince, klockwork and a few more cant create good beats that fit 2pac
but you could let people send you all different type of mixes and during the making of the tape you can still say no to a specific genre/typ of mixing and get more precise in what you want and what not
that way there will be alot of scrapped mixes (which shouldnt be released in a scrapped mixes tape which nobody will check anyways) but that way you can create a good tape with a concept

i'm down to help you by giving you advice on every mix (if you want), that way i could also decide what mixes of mine will fit into the tape
i got damn much unfished/unreleased mixes

I agree. But not going to sit there and take any mix that comes forward. Like u said people will send things and I'll give advice (send me over to other people like u for their advice) etc etc.

And go from there. No rush into this tape. We'll see how it goes. But I definitely want to get a forum tape together

Going off what what everyone said and the poll of the thread I've come to these conclusions.

Just putting it out there I'm think the tape should be a 2cd tape (13-18 tracks per cd)...

cd 1- OG Vibes/Reystled Mixes/New Productions.. Kind of like beats which sample 2pac.. or a NEW restyled 2pac instrumental

cd2 - switchups/blends/remixes. Not necessarily a plain switch up. I think we all know thats not good enough, but like blacpain was suggesting.. switch ups with some old school hiphop tracks etc. Also 2pac.. but needs to be something special, because a general switchup isn't really creative.

Umm I'm thinking of getting a little team together to do this! Someone to decide on mixes. Someone to master the mix if needed thuglife or Papa for a cover... or maybe both if it ends up being 2cd.?. A cover each..

A small group working on a certain type of mixes.. All collaborating and talking about mixes on AIM or MSN or through gmail or PM here. So maybe send me your email and ill communicate through there at times.

For now if you have a mix send it to me. I'm Depending on the mixes I get will depend on how the tape is put together. Mainly want to aim for 1 cd of OG Restyled Mixes etc.

If you could each suggest a title for the tape please send it in your reply.

I'm thinking have a tape name, then each CD name based on its theme...

so like 2Pac Forum Presents "Til My Dying Day" a Tupac mixtape
or 2Pac Forum Presents "2K14 Mix Klazzics"... what came to mind that made sence.

CD1 could be titled - The Rebirth (Hence being a restyled/re-sampled 2pac mixes with new production maintaining 2pac style/sample)
CD2 could be titled- Forever Ballin' (Mixes/Blends using oldschool hiphop tracks etc. Bay Area, Death Row, West Coast, Old School New York Style beats).

I'm happy receiving mixes for now... and if i do a mix i do ill send to others to decide but yeah... this sound good people?

No date set for now.. want to make sure I get everything 100 percent.. but yeah

well i would like to hear kind of tape with just mixes/switchups of straight classic (old school) beats (no matter which coast) from 91 to 94 era.
like Public Enemy, Showbiz & A.G., Comptons Most Wanted, N.W.A., Geto Boys, Big Mello, Brand Nubian, EPMD, King T, Ice-T, AMG, Too $hort etc. etc.

i see you´re a real old school fan, i like some jams pre-90-93 but i almost liked post death row stuff more with or without pac, west coast i´m talkin about, i like boom-bap and old school south & midwest but west coast i what i really like listening to, not because of pac, but i must say i learned about a lot rappers thru pac albums and songs, i was searching for songs from guys like c-bo, cpo tha boss hogg, rappin´4 tay,syke,evil mind gangstas, rated r,assassin,spice 1,e-40 alot rappers.can´t count them all right now, too fuckd up right now "if you know what i mean"
