If not in terms of a direct sample and overlay then by using the layered production cues of the former to jazz up the latter (esp those organ sounds, whew!) along with a set of replayed drums (live style complete with ghost notes and brush sounds) and so on and so forth...

The sample for the bass line of "My Own Style" is such a waste. The rest of the elements of the Sting track should've been used instead for some crazy Death Row diss track.
