Hey, Welcome to the forum.
I made this thread so you can post everything you want to know, ask here, I will be glad to help you out.
Ill start off by saying, producing and mixing aint something that you can just learn just by reading someones posts or books, it takes months and years until you understand the game completely, but knowing theory and knowing basic terms will make things much more easier and thats what this thread is about.
Start off here by telling me what Gear & Software you use ?
Oscar gave me link to beat you made, and the first thing i noticed is real long piano intro with weird plastic sounding reverb and that whole track is mastered really LOUD, thats so wrong, that way you will never get good quality production, with big sound and punchy dynamics.
First, try to keep beat arrangement simple if you can, and study other people music, music of your idols for example, then try to mimic what they did in your own production.
Dont make samples and instruments so LOUD while you producing/mixing, you kill the dynamic and squash the soul out of music that way, always keep channels in green zone.
Getting desired sound can be achieved by using parametric or graphic equalizers, and limiters/compressors.
Search on internet how these things work so you get better understanding where, when and how to use and apply them.
