Producing/Mixing headphones and speakers?

Looking for some good headphones and speakers, anyone know about any good ones? (My headphones and speakers have been blown for quite a while now, I need new ones.)

I wouldn't recommend headphones for mixing, only for reference listening and checking for details like reverb, stereo panning, etc.

before i recommend anything, whats your budget for monitors and headphones?

and what audio interface (sound card) you have?

Nothing too expensive lol. I do not want top quality professional stuff, something decent would be fine. I do not want to spend more than $500.

Your mixes will translate alot better if you are mixing with monitors, rather then headphones, so invest money in speakers first and later buy yourself decent headphones or another pair of smaller speakers.

Monitors: 400-550 $ range:

Tannoy 501a or more expensive options: JBL LSR4326P or Yamaha HS 80

Headphones:

Sennheiser HD 650 or Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro
