    So that's why JJ samples have that 16bit type sound, it's the way the SP samples it.

      SP is 12bit - 26khz sampler, popular for its crunchy, gritty character makes drums sound "in your face" - thats why everyone loves it.
      basically every hip hop song from East Coast that was produced during late 80s and 90s have sound of a SP1200


      but i will never trade my MPC3000 (original not "LE" version) because its much better sequencer, it has 4 midi outputs, way better interface, recognizable drum swing.

        Oh yeah I meant 12bit, I love that gritty sound it puts out on the sp1200

          The SP, a true vintage drum machine, out dated as all fuck I know, but the samples inside...wonderful
