  • Sony Acid Pro Question?

Does anyone know how to lock a track on acid pro because whenever I cut,fade,etc... the track moves a bit? Anyone?

When cutting or doing fade shit the waves / peaks show it moves just a little bit but it really doesnt. Unless it does, which then I dont know.

      ^It shouldn't move at all.

I never used Acid Pro, that software is very outdated and user interface is a mess (imo), i suggest you to get other DAW, theres plenty of them on the market.

The track moves a bit, Dj Smith & Wesson told me that too. I looked in the options etc... but can't figure it out. I will do it the hard way then lol

I want to try logic but it is only for macs

I might look into pro tools or something ... I just got used to using acid pro 7.

Pro Tools is native now but you need iLok usb key to use it.

other alternatives are PreSonus Studio One V2, Cubase/Nuendo, Reaper, and few others less "popular".

If they come out with acid pro 8, I might get that, they also have some good plugins.

You should demo some of DAWs i suggested, you might like their stock plugins even more, i dont doubt that they are better then ones in Acid.

i know when i want to cut something on audacity it moves it
so instead i use amplify and go as negative as i can so you can't hear shit

not sure if you can do that on acid as i never used it before

Lol. That's what I used 2 do when i used audacity. Hated when u cut or paste summet it moved the whole track.
U could just lay it on a new stereo track, then nothing would move when u add summet.

Audacity is the worst possible program for mxing. its for like soundscapes and shit lol

Acid Pro is just cool for 2Pac remixing lol, of course for instrumentals it'll be my last ever choice. Acid Pro 7 is also buggy as hell.

im using reaper since 2008 now, always been happy with it

i also tried audacity and adobe audition once
agree that audacity sucks, adobe audition, ... well i prefer reaper

never tried sony acid, it just that i use sony vegas 4 vid making, imo that program is easy to use so i guess sony acid is aswell?????????
but yeah sometimes i got problems with sony vegas so yeah ...
id recommen reaper, no problems with it:
Reaper 7.27 Englisch: Das erstklassige Mischpult Reaper ist sehr gut zum Aufnehmen, Bearbeiten und Abspielen von Audio-Dateien geeignet.
