  • Sony Acid Pro 7, weak DAW.

So I began mixing 2Pac acapella's with Sony Acid Pro 7.
Now that I stepped up from those days I think it is heavily WEAK. Why is the rendering so flat and crappy? and hearing it whilst mixing is atrocious. FL Studio is million times more crisp and full, I would love to be able to mix with BOTH apps but Acid's render engine sucks hairy ass!
It's a shame because of the versatility with all the cropping and copying and etc in Acid, so moving to FL is a lot more stressful when I wanna crop out a bit of the instrumental.
If anybody else uses Acid Pro, you know how to actually have less shitty rendering?

The rendering is fine, just turn it all up full. Thats where you been goin wrong, you can change the output quailty.

DAW itself shouldn't sound different then the other. You are having something on your master buss or your export settings are configured wrong.

I've been using 44100hz 16bit stereo for all my WAV exports and 320kbps for MP3, I'm not a pro at this shit, but that isn't exactly in-adequate, far from it. Same results sounds million times better from FL Studio and Audacity.

Thanks, I'll look further into that. Heres what I use however:

All my master bus has is the equalizer, left untouched. I'll remove it in my next mix and see how it goes, and if that's hopeless, I'll tamper with it and see if I can get the crisp full sound that I achieve with my new best friend FL. Oh I've just heard of this 'Rewire' shit too, going to look into that.

Yeah it's fine, i also hav no issue with it. Your right in saying he needs to change the rendering option up to a higher spec.

I already told you, the render options are always set to the highest. Have done for ages, but it still won't come out as nice as FL Studio.
The render I consider in-adequate is actually fully tolerable, but I'd much rather have it as best as possible, like with FL Studio. Understand?

I actually use FL for my remixes too, all my plugins & shit are wired into there, only thing that bothers me is automation
