When the sample is around 80bpm, i export a 80bpm drumline, drag both to audacity and cut/paste sample parts until they perfectly fit. I dont know better solution for this, its not complicated though.

is there a way to avoid snapping or a way to remove it later?
ur help would be appreciated so much, im often working with guitar playings and the guitar players usually dont keep the same tempo so i have to do cutting and change the tempo, id love if you could help me here man
thx in advance & peace, tobi
yea... if you cut a piece of a guitar or bassline sample and it brings two non-equal freq. parts together your gonna get a snap...

what i would try is instead of cutting... do a quick fade out where you would normally cut.. copy everything after the fade out to another audio track... do a quck fade in at the very beginning of the new audio track and over lap the fade out with the fade and and see what that does for you... it might have a weird sound but it wont be a clip... and most of the time you wont notice a difference...

it will be fine if its just a guitar... basslines and samples that include hats, snares and other things that already have a "beat" to them will be harder... your right... but as long as its just a solo guitar.. theres no difference between that and live play... cuz with live play.. nothing is exactly the same...

hm ya i've done that before and seems like this is the only solution to handle the problem!? still if i want to remove the snapping fully i got to make big fade ins and fade outs so yeah, this is not the ideal solution, but probably the only one
i also asked this on another forum (the forum for the mixing software im using, dunno if anyone can help me here)

i once heard that snapping problem could be handled with asio4all but i hjave no idea if and how that shall work

well, probs for your reply, appreciated

aso4all just deals with latency problems that gives static / snappy sounds. your just gonna have to make do with the fading solution i guess. there doesnt seem to be any other solution really.

thats y i come to hate sampling, the whole 'on-key' problem and the snapping and other shit for it to be on-time.
