• WESTSIDE CONNECTION C Walk " Keep It Gangsta", the beat though?

    Normally I don't abuse #VIP #DJ @MrMind @MrEverybody, but I will now.

    Where the fuck is the beat from in this video? I done read through hundreds of comments like "this is how I walk in my mama house on Thanksgiving" <- yeah cool story bro.

    But can never find anyone writing about the instrumental the DJ was playing. Any samples or knowledge would be appreciated.

    If DUBCnn wasn't glitched with it's registering, I'd ask over there.

    It’s a Mack 10 ft. Ice Cube song called Hoo Bangin and they redid it on the Westside Connection album. Classic West Coast song.

      Agreed...

      I absolutely enjoy the hell out of my WSC compilation that I put together in 1996 after the release of Bow Down and then redid it in 2003 to include Terrorist Threats as well as a few other gems. Terrorist Threats was pretty damn near as good as Bow Down.

      One of the few "super groups" I wish released another album.

      April 1996: The Substitute OST -> Mack 10 - Hoo-Bangin' (Intro/Hook - Ice Cube)
      October 1996: Bow Down LP -> WSC - Hoo-Bangin' - WSCG Style (K-Dee, Tha Comrades, AllFrumTha I)

      Both Versions - Engineered, Mixed, and Produced by Ice Cube

        Those Bud’da beats on the first album were something else. Wish him and Pac had worked together.

            Bud'da really had some amazing beats, if I recall he did some of the tightest beats on King T Thy Kingdom Come on Aftermath.

            I read a interview with him a while back that he was on Dr at first before leaving with Dre.

            So there might be something laying around that Pac recorded to that he had a part in producing

              Yeah I also started my own compilation with Westside Slaughterhouse and I also included Ice Cubes Gangsta mix of Bow Down.

              I didn't knew about the first Hoo Banging so props for bringing that to my attention.

              I honestly feel that the second album was a letdown compared to Bowdown which imo had all bangers.

              Sure there where some really good tracks on the second album but not nearly as many

                Ya Sam Sneed brought him over at the end of Dre’s time at Death Row. Only thing I know he did for sure over there was that “Nightmare” beat between the Cali Love videos. That’s probably the closest him and Pac got to working together.

                    those scratches makes the beat sound more gritty
