It's pretty decent for an one hour mix/beat remake. At least he's putting something together where as you on the other hand couldn't pull off a remake of an already existing remix in 5 months

By the way, "Grab The Mic" & "Starin Thru My Rearview" is around 8 beats per minute apart, meaning, Grab The Mic is a lot slower of a song compared to Starin Thru My Rearview, and rather than speeding up the Grab The Mic samples to where it matches STMR's original tempo, it sounded awkward & forced...I chose to kind of mix the speeds of both songs half way.

Kudos for the effort man. Can we expect a more finalized mix anytime soon ?

Everyone that has attempted to remake the beat failed to add a compressor to the melody. If you listen to the OG the melody has constantly the same volume while on the actual song it jumps up and down. Now I don’t know if that resulted in the leaking process (copying the song from tape etc.) but I think it’s essential in a remake

100%. You have to kill the dynamic range in the sample with some good old fashioned booty clapping compression. Good observation.

lmao my computer crashed back in november and since no one got back to me with a good quality version of theinterview (that i dont have to rip from youtube) as well as the instrumental.. i never did bother to complete it. but all the files are there in in order line its almost complete, ive even made a cpu from the revolutionary track rap phenomenon and laid it over the instrumental along with the pac acapellas (struggle continues and military minds) and i managed to remove the dj's tags, i wasn't sure if i should keep the tags in? only annoying thing that i encountered was that the rap phenomenon version of the instrumental has hi-hats that seemed to be added on extra? vs the instrumental of victory that i have. i even removed biggies "mic check turn up the volume" at the start of the track. along with making the cpu pella, the thing is i just haven't installed adobe audition ever since my shit crashed. i lost alot of my files on my C drive since last april.. and i just want to organise all my files and back them up properly before i consume more files.
